Miami Vice Self-Striping Sock (3) - 75/25 SW Corriedale/Nylon - Squoosh 2.0 Base

Who can forget the hottest cool colors worn by Miami's hottest 80s TV cops? This three stripe colorway was inspired by the white, fuchsia and aqua of Crockett and Tubbs' wardrobe palette. The second picture below is a representation of how this colorway may knit up in a sock-sized garment.

It was dyed on our new Squoosh 2.0 base, 75% SW Corriedale, 25% Nylon, 383 yards, fingering weight, 6.5-8 stitches per inch on US 0-2 needles. Corriedale is a harder wearing wool than Merino while still maintaining a softness than is comfortable for garments. This base is a perfect workhorse yarn for the hand-knit sock lovers in your life who may be a little hard on their socks.

Recommended care: Though this is a superwash yarn and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.

NOTE: While this skein was thoroughly heat set and rinsed twice, the bright, intense dyes used to attain the colors in this skein may still release some residual dye the first couple times it is soaked/washed. For best results, please use plain, COOL water. Do not soak garments for prolonged periods of time. Use of a Shout Color Catcher sheet may also help keep the color from settling on the white area of the skein. Dry items flat.

All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color strengths can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.

We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
