Winter has its cold snaps, and nothing illustrates it better than those colorful weather maps that show swaths of blues and purples and whites as they relate to the frigid temperatures those cold fronts bring with them. Those maps were the inspiration for this colorway, as the map in the third picture shows.
The second photo is a representation of how this colorway may look when knit up into an adult sock-sized garment. The third is my inspiration picture.
It is dyed up on our Bounce base, an 80% superwash Merino, 20% nylon yarn, 400 yards, fingering weight., 6.5 - 8 stitches per inch on US 0-2.
Recommended care: Though this is a superwash wool and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color strengths can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
