Bridge Walker Hat/Mitten Pattern & Yarn Set

Image of Bridge Walker Hat/Mitten Pattern & Yarn Set

We are happy to be able to offer three kits featuring patterns from Sarah Jordan's "Stitchburgh" pattern collection and Fibernymph Dye Works yarn, which she used to knit the patterns the have offered here.

With a stranded colorwork motif inspired by the metal work adorning some of Pittsburgh’s bridges and riverside walkways, this hat knits up quickly and has the added benefit of a double layer of warmth around the forehead and ears thanks to stranding on the inside. The mittens are knit from the cuff up in the round, starting with a hemmed edge. Once the mittens are complete, an optional ribbed lining can be added. The mittens are interchangeable -- i.e., either mitten can be worn on either hand. When knitting the small or medium size of either pattern, you should have enough yarn left to do a small or medium of the second pattern as well, as long as you switch your main and contrasting colors.

In this kit, you will receive:

- Two full semi-solid skeins of our Cozy worsted weight base (100% SW Merino, 220 yards) one each of Soft Black and Gold.
- Coupon codes to download both the Bridge Walker Hat and Bridge Walker Mittens patterns from Ravelry.

Recommended care: Though this is a superwash wool and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.

All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color strengths can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.

We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
